We’re officially back in post-holiday work mode and most of us seem to be sporting a case of the winter blahs. With our friends and co-workers shopping, prepping and planning for their upcoming tropical vacations, we find ourselves moping around, depressed that there’s no sunny beach, toasty sand and an endless supply of mimosas in our future.
What we seem to forget year after year are the simple joys winter brings. Hold that laugh–we’re being serious. Think glistening mountains perfect for skiing, toasty spots by the fire, cups of hot (and spiked!) cocoa, afternoon skating sessions, and playing Cards Against Humanity with your besties in a cozy lodge. It’s time to celebrate this frosty season and plan your staycation in true Canadian style. From pom pom toppers to winter white parkas, here are the ten winter essentials you need to make your (faux) getaway picture perfect.
