Truthfully, we feel like Canada Day would make much more sense if it was in the winter. We don’t mean to be bashing the warmweather or anything, but there’s just something more Canadian about the idea of snuggling up inside, watching a hockey game, a Tims in one hand, Canadian brew in the other, and maybe some maple dish cooking on the stove.
But because we don’t think anyone will be so keen on the idea of changing our country’s birthday, it’s up to us to bring more Canadian spirit to the balmy summer holiday.
And how to do that? By showing our true colours. Red and white, that is.
Sporting our patriotic hues can be a challenging task. We mean, how do you make red and white look equal parts quirky and chic without looking like you’re awkwardly channelling our national flag?
To help you out, we’ve come up with three totally chic, completely easy, and pretty simple ways to master the perfect July 1st outfit. No matter where you’re headed, you’ll be sure to pay tribute to your home and native land in the coolest way possible. Just grab yourself a Double Double and you’re good to go, eh?
