Two Ways to Get the Runway Look on a Budget

No matter how great those designer discount sites may be, most of us can agree that often times, the prices still aren’t quite low enough to fit into our monthly clothing allowance. We mean, sure, that Oscar de la Renta dress is completely fabulous, but marked down from $4500 to $1500? It’s a great discount but unfortunately, we have that little annoying conscience telling us it would be silly to spend a month’s rent on a single (ridiculously fabulous) item.

So how’s a girl to wear designer looks without becoming a total bag lady? It’s all about mimicking stellar designer looks with pieces from your favourite stores.

To show you how it’s done, we’ve taken this of-the-moment pencil skirt and lightweight sweater look from Burberry’s spring 2014 collection, and pulled ten pieces to show you two different ways you can rock this look on a budget. The best part? All of these pieces are totally versatile, so you’re bound to get bang for your every well-spent buck.
