Party Bark

I like to bring a little homemade treat whenever I go to a gathering at a friend’s place. Unfortunately, I’m often too busy to find anywhere from two to six hours to whip up a batch of candy-filled cookies or an apple cinnamon coffee cake, so I resort to the always crowd-pleasing, party bark.

This easy treat can be prepped and made in under 30 minutes, requires only simple ingredients and consists of total fool-proof steps. Here’s what you need:

– Saltine crackers
– 1 cup unsalted butter
– 1 cup brown sugar
– 1 1/2 cups milk chocolate chips
– 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
– sprinkles

What to Do:
1. Lay the crackers on a flat surface, on top of a piece of parchment paper. On medium heat in a small saucepan, cook the butter and brown sugar until smooth. Pour the toffee mixture over the crackers and smooth with a spatula.

2. Melt the milk chocolate chips on the stove of in the microwave. Pour and smooth over the crackers.

3. Melt the white chocolate chips, and add blobs on top of the crackers. Use a skewer to spread it out to create a marble effect.

4. Add the sprinkles and refrigerate/freeze until hard, about 15 minutes.

5. Break the crackers apart.
